Date Night

Every Monday night is our date for hubby and me. I thank my lucky stars that I have a supportive and capable mum who helps me so much with the kids that I can spare one night a week to spend quiet, quality and sometimes romantic time with hubby.

Last Monday, hubby brought me to a gorgeous marina for dinner. We reached there at 6.30pm, amidst ubiquitous yachts glowing in the golden rays of a departing sun. The golden orange sheen on the sparkling harbour casted a spell of enchantment over the whole establishment. There were prosperous yacht owners sauntering to their boats to retire for the evening and random groups of passers-by ambling around, admiring the majestic and peaceful yachts.

One of my favourite parts of the day approached slowly - the darkening twilight, brightened by the gradual twinkling of lights sparking up condominiums just across the bay. Soon, the world was awashed in fairy twinkly lights - magical, bewitching, wonderful.

We strolled around the bay after dinner, immersed in this little enclave of Singapore with no remnants of the typical ratrace.

Hi there! Like you, I also relinquish and enjoy the couple night i can have with my hubby on friday nights. It returns us much sanity. And all these are only achieveable because as in your case, i have a capable mother and helper! How grateful i am. But i think all this will have to come to a halt when bb #3 comes... till we find a new routine. enjoying my best now!!!

Yes I agree totally! A supportive infrastructure with people whom we trust is very important. Am sure you can still go on your Friday date nights when you have your number 3!!!
