Sunday mornings are best spent in a hushed, quiet environment with a lush backdrop of green open spaces and mind-boggling arrays of books. It is amazing how a medium sized library in Queenstown could bring forth a cornucopia of books! The variety is stupefying and the environment is so conducive.
We ended up with something for each of us! Hard covered (and very new) picture books with flaps for Little Bee. Mandarin books for Big Bee. War books for Hubby. Books on the Khmer Rouge genocide for me. Enough reading for this coming month. For free!
NLB is a wonderful establishment indeed.

we love the library too!
Great finds! My only grouse is the libraries tend to keep different titles at their locations and there isn't enough rotation. Nonetheless, we still love what we can find at the branch we go to and I often lug back 18 books at one go and my boys will devour them over and over.
Your choice of topic is interesting. Do share more when you finish with the book. :>
Fon: Am sure USA will have even better libraries, right!? Esp Boston!!!
Domesticgoddess: Yes, the books are amazingly new this time. Oh a friend told me you can request for a book you want to be transferred to the library of your choice, through the online service. 18 books at one go is a great achievement indeed!
Yes I know of the reservation service. I use that very often to save me the trip and time to hunt down the books. It only costs $1.55 per book so it is a great service.
