Brand New Home

The grannies with their brood of grandchildren. What bliss!

Last Saturday, Irene and I - together with the grannies! - gathered for an evening of relaxation and bonding at Fio's brand new home. I am suitably impressed with the all-embracing balcony hugging the entire perimeter of the house! Her home is lovely with sleek and clean-cut decor. The kids loved the balmy balcony and all of them chose to have their dinners there. They definitely know how to enjoy life at such young ages!

We then adjourned to a scrumptious zi-char stall and ate our hearts out. The cousins (both my generation and the Bees' generation!) and grandparents were contented with so much delicious food in our stomachs. The grannies were luxuriating in the delectable local delights while catching up with each other, and we cousins were gorging incessantly while minding our active kids. And our kids were cheekily making faces while eating alongside each other too. What enjoyment indeed!

Eh I have never told you how much I envy you and your cousins. You guys are so close. I'm never that way with my own :-(

It's so wonderful to have such a close relationship with your cousins. Mine are not close at all and we see each other only once or twice a year! Some only once in a few years! It's great that your kids can grow up experiencing the warmth of the extended family.

viv/Ing: Yes, I guess I am very lucky because my cousins and I are very close. Our parents are very close, and I guess it rubbed off on us, as we spent so much time with each other since young! So...we are now doing the same with the next generation!
