Spotted on a languid evening stroll around my estate were three spectacular hornbills, literally a stone's throw outside my balcony! Big Bee had the rare privilege of creeping up to one majestic, motionless hornbill standing on a low parapet, viewing it in full glorious detail before it flew off, spreading its giant wings wide. It looked so....expansive!
Big Bee, Little Bee and me stayed in the courtyard, fascinated by one hornbill and trying to spot if there were more of them. Indeed, we spotted three! Swooping up the trees for pecks at the fruits, perching on railings enjoying the final receding sunrays of the approaching gloaming.
I wonder where these gorgeous hornbills come from. They are most definitely welcome here.
