My Child, My Parent

Late on Sunday night at 2am, when Hubby and I were engrossed in watching the movie Munich on DVD, we suddenly heard the girls' bedroom door open followed by some furtive whisperings.

I peeped across the dark corridor and saw a tiny figure - Little Bee - and ambled into her room. She clambered onto her bed, whispering like a nagging parent, "Very late already!" Oops.

I patted her to sleep again, and sneaked out to continue watching the movie with Hubby.

Within 10 minutes, we heard the door open again, followed by more urgent whisperings. I scampered into her room, and here was what she told me as she scrambled up on her bed again, "Mummy, better come and sleep, otherwise you will be tired tomorrow!" (we are still co-sleeping with them)

Awww....sweetest of all sweetness indeed :) I can't help but beam with happiness into the silent darkness - it does feel divine to be mothered by our children at times!

She is so sweet! Very wise to use this tactic to melt Mummy's heart too :-) Unlike my little one who will throw a fit when he wakes up and discovers that I have "escaped" from the bed.

The difference between a girl and a boy.

viv: Heh, yes, melted my heart utterly! Am sure your boys will have many other sweet ways to melt your heart as well ;)
