Travel Memoirs: Train Travel

The romance of train travel had always been written and filmed by intrepid travellers, and I couldn't agree more.

This morning, I was on a train from Hangzhou to Shanghai for a work trip, coming back home. I spent a good portion of the 1.5 hour trip entranced by the scenary outside. We passed by lots of emerald-green farms with hardworking farmers bent double over their crops, pretty pine trees, meandering streams, duck farms with numerous white ducks spilling from their land abode to the river, ubiquitous lilies growing gorgeously in still ponds. Living off the produce of nature is simply wonderful. I felt refreshed and revitalised.

Still, it is even more marvelous to be back home with my family tonight.
